About LOVE Foundation
The LOVE Foundation (Land Owners & Voluntary Environmentalists) is dedicated to the stewardship of Buskett Garden, the only natural woodland remaining in Malta. Spanning approximately 60 hectares, Buskett is a rare ecological reserve in an island nation where green space is under constant pressure from development.
The foundation's work includes habitat maintenance, controlled access management, environmental education, and advocacy for the woodland's long-term legal protection. They operate largely on volunteer power, with minimal institutional support from the Maltese government.
The partnership
MMGA partnered with LOVE Foundation in early 2026 — our first and, at present, only partner NGO. The match was clear: a vital environmental asset being managed by a committed but resource-constrained team, with a specific and solvable operational problem.
The core challenge: Buskett receives thousands of visitors — for picnics, school visits, and volunteer work days — but managing bookings was handled through WhatsApp messages, spreadsheets and phone calls. No online booking system. No capacity visibility. No data.
What we're building
Buskett Booking App
In developmentA custom booking platform for Buskett Garden — allowing visitors and school groups to book picnic areas and work areas online. The system includes capacity management, volunteer scheduling, and a public-facing calendar.

How you can help
